Why

Because I love writing.

It’s a simple as that. Writing to me is like drawing to my wife. Or cooking to Jamie Oliver. Or being awkward to Woody Allen. It just comes naturally.

It’s my creative outlet. I get lost doing it. I forget time. I sometimes forget that I need to go use the bathroom. I obsess about a single sentence, blissfully ignorant that many times the entire piece is one big mistake.

It’s also a brain dump for me. I ask “What if..?” all the time. I’ve had more business ideas than I care to count, none of which have turned into anything useful so far. I often spend hours thinking about a single sentence I heard somewhere, sometime. By writing about it, I’m forced to bring order to the chaos of my thoughts, and in the process get it out of my head and onto paper. Turns out there is a lot more space available on paper than in my head.

Chances are nobody will ever read this. It’s likely that I’ll never get any attention or significant return on anything I write. But that’s ok, because…

I love writing.

What’s with the logo?

Well – my name is not an easy one. Even in my first name, most people brutally replace the K with a C without blinking an eye, at which point I usually give up trying to get my last name across. Polish ancestry yay, but it gets a bit annoying after a while. And not a soul in the world can memorize it.

Hence M. It’s short, it’s memorable, and the username on Medium was still available. Oh, and the dot is #ff2800, also known as Ferrari Red, by far the best color in the world.
